We could hardly be more different: when we first met in 1999, the mathematican Conor John Fitzsimons was working as an organizational consultant at a large automotive supplier, the sociologist and psychologist Klaus Wagenhals as a coach and consultant for improved effectiveness in their projects. Both came from different professional backgrounds and completely contrasting organizational cultures. Both knew very different sectors, had different professional priorities and worked with different target groups. In short: the ideal starting point for an enriching collaboration.

Soon after came the first common projects: workshops about dealing with other cultures in projects, a book on international project management, the leadership development series “lead and live” and a leadership program for young and soon-to-be group leaders in research for the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO). We have been working together under the label metisleadership since 2005.

    Participated in and later led a project to develop production and controlling processes in the textile and clothing industry (Düsseldorf)
  • 1989 – 1998
    IT and Organizational Development consultant, later the Managing Director of the TBS consultancy (Frankfurt/Offenbach)
  • Since 1998 self-employed as Change Consultant, Trainer and Coach
